About
I have a BA in Political Science (Magna Cum Laude) and astronomy/astrophysics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. My PhD (University of Southern California, 2009) dissertation combined the Copenhagen School's securitization theory with identity as a possible mechanistic explanation of the democratic peace. My research interests are wide-ranging, including constructivism, the role of identity in foreign and security policy, international security, arms control and strategy, and foreign policy analysis. I also have regional interests in East Asia, South Asia, and Europe. I have published in International Studies Quarterly and have an article forthcoming in International Organization. From 2009-2010, I was the ConocoPhillips Assistant Professor of International Relations at the University of Oklahoma, a joint appointment in the School of International and Area Studies and the Department of Political Science. I am currently an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
My ResearcherID is G-2045-2010 (http://www.researcherid.com/rid/G-2045-2010)
