About

I am a Ph.D. student in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech. I am interested in the design of compact representations and efficient algorithms to support the authoring of interactive virtual experiences. To realize these goals, my research draws on ideas from Artificial Intelligence, Computational Social Psychology, and Computer Game Design.

I am a golf junkie (time and budget permitting) and watch football as much as I can. I grew up a NY Giants fan and this past year's super bowl win was probably the highlight of my fandom! Unfortunately, I have been forced to adopt the Atlanta Falcons due to annoying TV contracts that frequently prevent the Giants from being televised in Atlanta. I also enjoy cooking and helped to co-found the Tech Chefs, a group of graduate students and friends who get together once a month at various culinary themed events. Past events have included gourmet pizza night, British food, and a wine tasting.

Somehow, in all of my free time, I have managed to become a daddy to two adorable Shiba Inu puppies named Lucy and Joey. I love them to death despite their tendencies for mischief and willful disobedience, but I wouldn't expect much less from a Shiba. Motivated by my love for my dogs, I have also begun to volunteer for a few hours one or two days a week at a local animal shelter. It is both heart wrenching and extremely rewarding.
